One-Day Intensive
Control AI Spending
09.12.26 | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM PDT 1 hours in one focused day
Budgeting for the Singularity
with Liz Howard
Overview
You don't have to fund the AI bubble by yourself, you can actually cut the cord and control your spending, while getting to say "yes" to your artistic desires and your project mania.
What You'll Master
- How to actually keep a budget
- How to reduce costs and keep them under control
- It's also a space and time to do this together
Where This Class Leads
What you leave able to do
- produce an itemised bill for what your running system costs
- segment text into tokens and cost it
- characterise what a tool costs you beyond its price
- characterise what one user costs you to serve
- classify each recurring ai cost by keep downgrade or replace
- classify models by fit for a workload
- verify a spending limit declines the charge you did not intend
How you show it. A card with a monthly cap set below your previous spend, every subscription moved onto it, and the decline you caused deliberately. A limit nobody has tested is a preference, not a control.
