What's New - July 17, 2026
New
- Redesigned homepage — A value-forward homepage that leads with what you get from the school. The new layout is being A/B tested so we can keep the version that helps visitors most.
- Enterprise AI page — A dedicated
/enterprisepage for organizations looking to train their teams. - Program pages — New data-driven program pages, with an admin editor for managing them. (Editing is admin/staff-facing)
- AI curriculum summaries — Class pages can now show an AI-generated summary of what the course covers.
- Class enrollment caps — Classes can now have a capacity. Full classes show a "Full" badge on enrollment surfaces, free self-enroll is blocked once a class is full, and full classes are hidden from the homepage. Admins set the cap per cohort from the class form. (Cap management is admin/staff-facing)
- A wave of new themes — Many new visual themes and immersive effect engines landed, including Cherry Blossom / Cherry Hanami, Retro TV, Myspace Goth, Steampunk, Neon Noir, Tarot, a Superintelligence collection, and animated worlds like Abyss, Genesis, Ecosystem, Murmuration, and Cellular Automata. Pick your reality from the theme switcher.
- Campus: Guest video call links — Public and private guest links for call rooms, so you can invite people into a call.
- Campus: Raised hands in video calls — Meet-style raised hands that stay visible during screen share, with a roster and hands sorted to the front of the camera grid.
Improved
- Stricter, clearer refund policy — The Terms page now states that classes are non-refundable once they begin, and the Terms and enrollment flow link directly to the real Code of Conduct.
- Campus: Video calls — A single mic toggle (instead of separate Mute/Unmute), clearer icons, an accurate participant count, top-bar pagination controls, and real display names in the same-room panel.
- Campus: Moderation — Reachable, graduated moderation with bans that actually take effect; banned and timed-out students are now rejected at connection time.
Fixed
- Onboarding welcome emails send again — The welcome email new students receive had been silently failing for about five months due to how it was being sent; it now goes out reliably, and recent onboarders were backfilled.
- Enrollment for brand-new customers — Fixed a case where the enrollment step could fail for first-time customers, so new purchases enroll reliably.
- Expelled accounts can't log back in — Accounts that have been expelled are now blocked at login.
- Newsletter and forms hardening — Guarded a newsletter page error, added cache-busting for theme JavaScript, and closed a silent-failure path on a form.
- Campus: Clickable links in chat — URLs in chat messages are now clickable everywhere they appear.
- Campus: Quests and world — Quest objective ticks stay live, and a batch of fixes addressed quest progress, a spawn regression, duplicate vehicles, and stuck call UI. Vehicle sprites now render at the wheel hub, and the Sphinx is reliably visible in the library.
- Campus: NPCs — Scripted NPCs no longer dump raw JSON to players, and a proximity-chat distance leak was closed.
Behind the scenes this week we also shipped error tracking that turns production errors into deduplicated GitHub issues, a safe raw-SQL admin console, and read-only production database access for the dev team. (Admin/staff-facing)
