A skill tree on every path page — Each of the eight path pages now shows a climb: the path's skills grouped into rungs named in that path's own language (Defender: spot the threat / harden it / break the ward), with an hours-a-week control that shows how far you get. It works with JavaScript off. (#1375)
"What can I run?" model picker — A new tool at /tools/what-can-i-run tells you which open-source models fit your hardware, with benchmark quality scores and best-value picks for each RAM size. The Model Hosting bench now pulls from the same benchmark data and covers 10 newer models (Qwen 3.5–3.8, Gemma 3/4, Phi-4). (#1403)
Improved
Class recordings are easy to find — 196 published recordings (about 246 hours across 11 classes) existed, but nothing linked to them. The student dashboard now has a Recordings button on every class that has them, and the links on path dashboards point to the right place. (#1412)
Founding Federation calendar invites — The standup invite job was still trying to add people to two calendar series that ended a year ago. Members are now invited to the new Founding Federation: Go To Market and Make and Do series (Mon–Thu, 9:00–10:30 PT), and if you switch branches your invite moves with you. Path-pass holders now get their invites without first having to open their dashboard. (#1438)
Fixed
Pricing Bench quoted two different numbers — The "say this out loud" card and the station summary/packet disagreed on your rate. All three now show the same number. (#1404)
Matrix room invites failing during busy hours — Over 700 class-room invites had failed for good in three months because background jobs gave up before Matrix's rate limit cleared. They now wait it out. (#1410)
Broken links in the Interactive Fiction class — Companion tool links in the IF Intensive syllabus and studio dashboard were 404ing during class. (#1242)
Instagram DM bot sent a canned reply when it had nothing real to say — When the AI model errored out or returned an empty response, the bot used to fall back to a stock "Hey! I'm Liz's robot…" message that could be mistaken for an actual (if unhelpful) reply. It now sends nothing in that case instead of a placeholder. (#1448)
