Bio — Liz Howard
@LizTheDeveloper is a serial entrepreneur and educator who has impacted the careers of 1 in 14 global software engineers. They solo-founded The Multiverse School (but it’s a community now). They are an engineer & technical leader who helped to found Hipcamp, Hackbright Academy, Enki, and others as CTO or Founding Instructor.
Overview — The Multiverse School
The Multiverse School has distributed $920,433 in class based financial aid without a single dollar from venture capital, private equity, or institutional grants. It started on TikTok, grew through word of mouth, and runs on a pay-what-you-can model where no one is turned away. 4,910 students. 8,880 enrollments. 141 classes. 1,490 hours of instruction. All bootstrapped, all learner-funded. Of 9,823 scholarship applications, 9,740 were approved. That's a 99.2% approval rate. 48% of all enrollments carry no purchase attached. Students set their own price, and the school trusts them to pay what they can. There's no board of donors to thank. No LP update to file. This is education that scales on trust, funded by the people who show up to learn, for the people who show up next.
