Multiverse School Newsletter - 7/14
🚀 7/14/2024 Multiverse School Weekly Newsletter 🚀 Hey Multiverse Crew,
We have been faced with a need to Clarify a Value which interacts with The Code Of Conduct, so we have done so. No code of conduct updates at this time.
Not enough people signed up to demo, so we won't do a demo day. Instead, we'll do an unconference on our values, and a hackathon which is what I wanted to do anyway. We'll have a gathering on Friday and some pitches, then Hack together on Saturday.
Roan set up an instance of Taiga (an open source project management web application) for us, now we can manage projects internally (and we can directly interface with the data using an AI). We'll set everyone up with an account. It was a saga, as it's a complex distributed web application. Gene got a job and may immediately get poached by another company, and made Commit Mints at my house.
In the experience I have had going to several events locally, Multiverse Students are exceptionally well positioned to get jobs at the hottest startups. Gene and Roan absolutely tore up the competition everywhere they went.
All of the families in Rafah have stopped updating. I don't know what this means, but will keep you posted, I'm checking weekly.
Prompt Engineering starts July 15th (tomorrow!)
This is for folks who are either already programmers, or have attended Using Large Language Models and feel comfortable asking ChatGPT or another language model to write code for them. We also have a fair number of programmers who are happy to help you get through the bugs- that's what we do, we fix bugs. If you feel like your python skills "aren't good enough" you are fully encouraged to ask questions.
Multiverse Students Looking for Work
Everyone here has learned the cutting-edge Gen AI stuff we teach here, but now they're looking for work! Not everyone here has a network and could use your help! Please do me a favor and help these folks out with some introductions! You can hire them away BUT you are depriving me of their brain so it better be for a lot of moolah.
Here they are again in a different order! Order implies nothing, so I'm trying to mix it up every week. They're all fantastic, their main skill overlap is Generative AI.
